You will never get bored

For our guests we arrange a number of leisure time activities, for the most part outdoor activities.

Here is a list of the most interesting activities:

1. FIRING RANGE – from May to October our own firing range is available in the forests not far from Křtiny where we can organise various disciplines of shooting competitions for experienced marksmen. For the others who are not holders of a firearm licence we can organise trial shooting with various kinds of small arms (from shotguns to bows with arrows) under the supervision of experienced trainers.

2. THE HORSE WORLD – at the horse farm within spitting distance of Křtiny genuine experts will tell you everything about how to handle horses and communicate with them.

3. PAINTBALL – well-known adrenalin pastime which we organise in co-operation with professional players from the club in Brno right here in the neighbouring forests.

4. CYCLING TRIPS – in co-operation with the scooter rental you can visit interesting natural phenomena in the Moravian Karst region. You can also make the trip on a rented mountain bike.

5. SIGHTS – we organise visits to sights of historical interest in the vicinity and we also comply with our guests’ requests to visit a wine cellar or brewery in the region of South Moravia.

6. FOUR-WHEELED VEHICLES – a relatively new adrenalin attraction. You can have a good romp in the nearby motocross grounds without damaging the nature.

7. THE CABLE AND ROPE CENTRE – to liven up your stay and to give you an opportunity to let of steam after your negotiations it is high time to visit the cable and rope centre which has a cableway and mountaineering wall. We can arrange a suitable programme for you including transport to the place and back.

Other activities which we organise for our guests are the following:
- excursions to monuments of the Lesnický Slavín (Forest Pantheon) and other interesting places in the neighbouring forests
- collective visits to all the caves of the Moravian Karst which are open to the public
- guided tour of Santini’s Church of the Virgin Mary of Křtiny and the local ossuary.

In the environs of the Křtiny Chateau you can also visit:
• 150 m – Baroque church of Křtiny, treasure of South Moravia, one of the most important buildings of Jan Santini Aichl in the Czech Republic
• 1 km – newly opened cave Výpustek – formerly a high-security military building with secret underground shelter
• 2 km – Arboretum Křtiny – unique collection of more than 1000 taxons of woody species from all over the world
• 5 km – Býčí skála (Bull’s Rock) – rock-face and cave with archaeological findings from the Hallstatt era, regrettably not open to the public, and near it the headspring of the Jedovnický Brook
• 5 km – Rudické propadání (Rudické Sink) – magnificent natural phenomenon with water falling to a depth of dozens of meters
• 6 km – Olšovec pond – bathing, boats, relaxation, international races of motorboats
• 7 km – Stará huť (Old Ironworks) near Adamov – the oldest preserved iron works in Central Europe, including an exhibition in the local museum
• 10 km – Macocha – world famous precipice and caves (boats)
